Diamond treasure hunt sensory box

Tonight we made a new sensory box. We called it the diamond treasure hunt! I filled up a baking tray with polenta, wild rice, blue and gold decorative sand and some silver/ clear decorative pearls. In that I hid different coloured and sized plastic diamonds.

Gave the boys two clear spoons and a sieve to help them retrieve the diamonds! They each had a little glittery decorative box in which they could store their diamonds.

This was a great exercise that kept them busy for a long time. There was a lot of twisting to open and close the little boxes which is great for their fine motor skills!

Now they are sleeping soundly. Good night my beautiful boys! Tomorrow new adventures await us!
