Weekend in Paris chez les Kohlbry's

It was on the morning of Saturday the 2nd of May 2009 when we decided to follow B.O.B and Melissa to Paris as they were leaving our flat at 11:30am to go to Paris.  They had stayed with us for 3 days in London and had a blast!  As it was a bank holiday weekend we thought...why not?

Such a spontaneous and great decision! We packed Schnuzzi up and caught the 14:20 train to Gare du Nord. We arrived there around 17:30 and took a taxi to Rue de Bruxelles where the apartment was. Once we dropped off our luggage we set out on a walk to get delicious food for our dinner. The flat was situated like 500m away from the Moulin Rouge. How cool!

Yummy crevettes calling our names...

I am so happy its that time of the year again! The berry season! Is one of my favourite fruit seasons and in Paris we had THE most delicious fraises.

B.O.B happily shopping juicy red tomatoes.

It goes without saying that the cheese selection was phenomenal and Melissa and Bob made some excellent choices. I am actually still dreaming of the cheese and baguette.

However, after all the cheese i consumed the night before i could hardly wake up in the morning so Daddy took over the 7am shift with Oskar and i had a well deserved lie in :)

Oskar and I among the beautiful flowers on the balcony.

First stop of our Sunday walk was at Montmartre and I think Oskar suits B & M very well!

Lunch that day was at the very "French" Chez Julien where Felix used to come very often when he lived in Paris 10 years ago.
The ceilings really amused Oskar and kept him quiet for a while...but only for a while..

Monday morning was...Le Louvre!

B & M cuddling up while i was feeding Oskar.

Lunch that day was at the very cool "Le Cafe Marly". Had the best salmon club sandwich followed by the most luscious hot chocolate. I wish we didn't have to rush so much but unfortunately our train was leaving at 16:00.

Schnuzzy loved it also, but most of all he loved being on B.OB's shoulders and pulling his hair.

After enjoying lengthy hugs and kisses with Melissa he collapsed for most of the train journey back home.

Even though it was a short 2 day trip we had a blast. Actually we hadn't had such a good time since Oskar was born. Great bonding and so, so happy to have done that with B & M!
These days its hard to find friends like B&M.

Cheers guys! And see you next year in Greece or London or Paris or wherever!
